	Vanilla Adjustments - READ Ricket Posted: Okay Binge, I’ve got an idea, then. 2 weeks from now, another theme week: No klan raiding. If I’m right in that the issue is more to do with the top bracket being loaded half-way with Ep. 2 folks, playing hard and smart, and not with klan vanilla, we should still manage a decent win that week. Two weeks, ‘cause next week is going to be a clusterfuck with cards flying everywhere. Well.. I never said that the bracket grouping worked perfectly either. But there’s no thread to discuss suggestions for that.. yet.. It’s on my list of things to address too. So yes, if we did a week with no klan vanilla you’d still all be grouped together, cause of your medals.. you’d just have less scoops to compete with.. and the equivalent as everyone else.. 	Vanilla Adjustments - READ meeeeeeeeee Posted: In all honesty I haven’t fully thought this through yet, just wanted to say something so I didn’t feel left out Basically a player who wants to earn more vanilla, needs to leech scoops from more raid participants, or join more raids without directly contributing to the scoop count (though alts will still be valuable as a second line depending on how this works in practice) In general, Raid Admins shouldn’t let people sit in the Raid if they are not contributing. 	Vanilla Adjustments - READ Adeptus Posted: My views on the changes : Limiting card numbers is interesting and may work well, but I think 30 may be too low. No ties is just gonna fragment raiding klans, which hardly seems fair. Maybe 3-tie max instead of 5? Splitting the top bracket better or limiting numbers in each bracket would help here too. Solo vanilla changes are just gonna help klan raiders even further. If this becomes permanent you’ll pretty much have to limit to one scoop for solo dom for raiders. Both of these changes together would be vewwy interesting though. One character per raid seems like an excellent idea, should clear the lower brackets of towers to a certain extent. However, this change wouldn’t sit well with non-raiders not affecting the raid 12 count, since it hurts the effectiveness of people in small klans or unusual timezones. (I assume alts can still contribute to the 12 count in this scheme even if they’re not part of the raid?) No strong feelings on Asshole changes, really, but doesn’t this make the shotgun a bit redundant? Not too happy with changing 12-12-12 to 12-11-12 etc. Mostly, this’ll just make raids longer without really affecting scoop count, which seemed to always be part of what put off casual players from raiding in the first place. We still had ridiculous ep2beta towers back before the 12-12-12 thing was even figured out. Not sure about limiting raid size. I personally don’t like it, but I’ve got no good reasons to justify myself. We’ll see about the No Ties. I’m open to SOME ties. Agreed about Solo Vanilla. So we’ll see what happens this week. Yes, for now.. Alts can still contribute to the 12 count in this scheme even if they’re not part of the raid. Not sure if I’m going to keep that or not. Shotgun isn’t redundant because you can target who you attack. Asshole is always against the most scoops tower. I see your point about the 12-12-12 but that method was never intended for raiding. Natural turnover was. And the fact that it takes more time is OK IMO. Because you get more scoops then Solo Raiding. So it should take more time and effort. B2015 (view post)	07/23/2008

	Vanilla Adjustments - READ scullyangel Posted: Damn it all, the big one for solo players isn’t here. The card limit is a great step, it prevents that 100% security thing. The medal reduction is also good. Might be too harsh, but realistically it will force a bracket structure change at least every couple of weeks, since you drop when you don’t medal. Personally, I think The Asshole should still hit for ten, but if other ideas are put into play I can see why a slight nerf is in order. I don’t know that this should be labeled “Vanilla Fix” as it won’t and it might really discourage those waiting for a solution if they think it’s intended to be the fix. Still, it is noted that it’s a trial, so hopefully everyone is a little mellow about things. EDIT: Also, we had exactly 1 1/2 raids before the 12-12-12 method was let out, and I reported the method to BINGE as soon as it was discovered. What is this “Vanilla Fix” you speak of? 	Vanilla Adjustments - READ Pickled Dickbutt Posted: also you had more raiding clans, with 12/12/12 heck even TSB was raiding. now all the fledgling raiders are back at a disadvantage. the no ties thing might lead to fragmentation of clans, but that will foster an uncomfortable environment, turning friends against friends. more likely people will rather retain friendships, but lose interest in the game, eventually leaving all together. Or we’ll just end up setting up a system where people get medals one week, and none the next. a trade off, which is pretty boring. like i said, the way to increase competitiveness is to fix seeding such that there aren’t more than a few clanmates in a single bracket. and now that they have to focus on their mains, alt towers wont dominate the lower brackets. so hopefully other people will get enough medals to fill in the brackets.
