It has come to my attention that some people use this forum to **** about other people, and some klans use this forum to **** about some other klans.

It has also come to my attention that Brainfreeze has been specifically targeted for quite a lot of ****ing because we “use a script” or somesuchnonsense. We also “attack people with cards” and “win at Domination” and for these shortcomings I am very apologetic.

So, I give to you, the players of ForumWarz, the Greasemonkey script (install Greasemonkey) that we use: ForumHelper.

This script, which changes the look of the Klans -> Domination page, has made our raids significantly easier to handle, through the following:

Each forum name is replaced by a clickable link to that forum, for easy access, and includes a bracketed shortform for the forum, for easier co-ordination.

For example,

Denture Chat Log in to see images! 0m ago

becomes:

Denture Chat [DENTURE] Log in to see images! 0m ago

Before anyone gets up-in-arms about banning me for, you know, knowing a little bit of JavaScript, I would like to mention that the initial version of this script was sent to Evil Trout, who gave his approval. Administration was aware and okay with its existence and use.

This script will be updated on a weekly basis, as new forums are added to the game.

Since Invariel was nice enough to release his very useful script, I thought that it was the least I could do to add that oh-so-craved counting utility.

Note: This one isn’t quite as easy to use. You will have to enter in the appropriate url for your klan profile, since it varies by klan.

Obviously credit goes mostly to Invariel and Westside Wizard. I just added a few lines for convenience.

Thanks for that, Arktor. I would have probably gone about things a different way, but your addition works.

Now that everyone is on the same page with regards to user-created scripts, let’s play some Domination, with a little less ****ing, shall we?

Aha! But if it’s already open, then all the bad things have already escaped, which means that the only thing left inside the box is Hope.

Suggestions (some very easy to implement, others less so)

– counts for other klans, to keep track of how others raids are going, for disruption or coordination purposes (2 klans raiding at the same time can earn scoops much faster than just 1)

– count for individual players, to keep track of your own ‘raids’

– clickable columns for sorting by klan, forum difficulty, player name etc as well as the default of time

– information onscreen about speedrunning, so you know which forums to take and how quickly if you want lemons

– some kind of pistachio tracker (no idea what form that would take though)

It certainly doesn’t require a script. We haven’t been using any. I think it’s a lovely option, and think Brainfreeze was awesome to share it. It’s especially nice for a smaller group.
