Bannable Offenses

Moderators and Administrators on Forumwarz have the ability to ban accounts from playing. If your account is banned, you may no longer log in to play the game. This means that all characters tied to your account are banned.

Why would your account be banned? Mainly for these reasons:

- Breaking the rules in Flamebate. Generally, the rules for each forum are stickied at the top.

- Vandalizing any game related page of the Wiki. This includes the profile pages of Forumwarz Administrators and Moderators.

- Creating Illegal Multis

- Willfully copying someone's successful Forumbuildr entry

- Voting fraud in Forumbuildr

- Using a BOT to get Speed Runs on forums

- Abusing the bug report tool with anything other than a bug

- ****ing off a Moderator when they're just trying to help

If you are banned, there is a link when you log in to contact the Administrators via email to appeal your ban. Generally, unless you did something really terrible, we will unban you on a first offense after a short amount of time.

Temporary Bans

If your offense is deemed minimal by the Moderators you may only be banned for a specified time frame. If this happens, when you log in you will be presented with the date when your ban will expire. At that time, your account will automatically be unbanned.

If your ban is temporary, there is no need to appeal or wait for an Administrator to get around to unbanning you. Just wait it out!

Permabanning

If your offense is deemed major, or you've already been warned/temporarily banned your account may be banned permanently. If you don't see a date when you log in, consider yourself banned forever. It was nice knowing you... probably not.

If you are permabanned all of the characters bumociated to your account will lose all their scoops for Domination, they cannot be restored.

Voluntary bans

If you feel your character is totally screwed and you want to start over again, rather than create an illegal alt you can ask a Moderator (usually MC Banhammer) to permaban your character so you can start a new one w/o a charge of illegal alts. Note, however, this is not recommended if you paid for Episode 2, as the payment won't transfer over: you'll need a whole new account.

You can also ask a Moderator (usually MC Banhammer) to temp- or perma-ban you if you want an enforced break from the site, for the lulz, etc.

When will we ban an Illegal Alt?

The Administrators and Moderators have tools to analyze usage habits. If we catch anyone actively playing on multiple accounts all of their accounts will be banned: it's as simple as that.

If there is suspicion that someone is using an Illegal Alt, please bring it to the attention of an Administrator or Moderator.

What if I have multiple accounts (using different email addresses), but I'm not actively playing both?

Generally, if you are not actively playing two accounts within a short time period, you will not be banned.

For example, you create an Emo Kid, play for a day and decide the game sucks. Then you come back a month later and create a new account to play as a Camwhore, and never touch your Emo account again. We don't consider this actively using multiple accounts and you will be fine.

This also applies to people who have had all their accounts banned. There have been people who have been annoying and been banned repeatedly, but keep popping up with new accounts. Since they are not actively playing multiple accounts (their previous ones have been banned and therefore receive no activity), we usually let them start fresh, but on thin ice.

You can consider this a second chance -- let's say you came to Flamebate and posted Goatse in general discussion. You'd be banned right away. But if you came back with a new account and played by the rules, we'll let you stay. The thin ice part means that if you break ANY rules, we'll permaban you for it.

The idea is that hopefully people will get sick of being banned repeatedly and will want to join in the community properly. If they stick to the rules, we let them do so.

It is at the discretion of any Moderator/Administrator to ban a user temporarily or permanently.
