Huh. I should’ve known I wasn’t the only one on Forumwarz… I remember the first time I read the Principia Discordia and thinking “Holy ****, these guys think like me.” There’s something beautiful about realizing that you’re not insane… or at the very least, there are others out there not as insane as myself. The trouble is explaining Discordianism to others. I stick with “it’s a philosophy disguised as a joke disguised as a religion” for a basic summary. (I’m hesitant to call it a religion… we haven’t killed enough people to qualify as a religion yet.) Oh, and Pope Innocent the 42nd, you are hereby de-excommunicated. You’re welcome. |
